Club 49 memberships don’t expire, but they are checked annually to make sure members still have a permanent in-state address. If Alaska Airlines is unable to verify your address, you will receive an email with instructions on how to renew your membership.
Use the Alaska Airlines app, click on your profile, select “Mileage Plan Card” and check to see if it says Club 49. If it does, you’re up to date and good to go. If not, call Customer Care at 1-800-654-5669 to be reinstated.
The Freight for Less discount allows Club 49 members to ship up to two (2) 35-gallon totes that do not exceed 100 pounds (50 pounds per tote), anywhere within the state of Alaska for a flat rate of $49 per tote, plus tax. For more information and restrictions: https://www.alaskacargo.com/shipping
There is no age restriction on shipping with Freight for Less as long as the person shipping has an active Club 49 membership.
Freight for Less totes can be shipped to yourself or to someone else in state. The person who physically picks up the item will need to be prepared to present identification.

Every Club 49 member receives two (2) Travel Now discounts per year, good for 30% off one-way travel in a Main Cabin Y-Class fare to, from or within Alaska, on Alaska Airlines, booked within four days of departure.
Your Club 49 membership contact information is tied to your Mileage Plan account. You can verify your contact information on your Mileage Plan account profile or call Customer Care at 1-800-654-5669.
Emails about your membership will originate from mileage.plan@ifly.alaskaair.com or customer.service@iflyalaskaair.com. Insider emails will come from deals@ifly.alaskaair.com. Emails will include your first name, tier status and the last four digits of your mileage plan number.
Club 49 members can also access the Lounge when traveling on a paid First Class or a First Class award ticket* on flights operated by Alaska Airlines, to, through or from the state of Alaska, regardless of the flight distance, only on their day of flight.
